Meeting with Liz Smith MSP

SAAP was recently asked by Liz Smith, MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife, to meet with her and discuss the inclusion issues which we thought merited the attention and action of the Scottish Parliament.

Through Disability Equality Scotland (DES), she has been seeking the views of Access Panels to increase her understanding of local disability concerns. We were pleased to meet her and her colleague Chris Hand, and thought she was receptive to, and empathised with, many of the problems faced by disabled people.

We look forward to hearing further information on the relevant Bills which are planned to be heard in the Scottish Parliament.
