SAAP ramps up pressure about unsafe ramp at Stirling University

The longstanding issues with the Stirling University Director of Estates regarding the pedestrian ramp at the bus hub has not progressed since May of last year.

We consider this ramp unsafe as most of it is without safety hand rails and it has a drop of more than 3 metres.

Also, there are no obvious landings where wheelchair users can rest when climbing. The impasse has been highlighted to the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University for action, but none has been forthcoming.

We have forwarded our concerns to Not For Profit Planning to pass to the Equality and Human Rights Commission for a potential Case Law outcome.
