Stirling Community Parking Management Plan

We fear that disabled parking bays may be under threat. We understand that some local councillors wish to reduce the already small number of disabled parking bays across Stirlingshire.

We have been working to engage with officers from the council to discourage such a move. This has been done in the open meetings that Stirling Council has carried out to consult its communities on its proposals for a new parking management plan.

We also have concerns about suggestions for more pedestrianisation of roads and streets, shared spaces, and shared surfaces. With any proposal, we feel full consideration must be given to the potential access challenges that could arise for disabled people.
